If someone wants to fly commercially , for hire or for reward one has to have a current Commercial pilot license issued by any ICAO state with approximate aircraft ratings to fly that particular aircraft . In order to attain CPL one has to pass theoretical exams like - Navigation , Meteorology , Regulations , Aircraft technical , RTR with minimum of 70% , apart from passing cpl written exams one has to undergo 200 hours of flying with no less than 100 hours of pilot in command time , with minimum of 20 hours of cross country ( mandatory 300 nm cross country ) , 5 hours of night pilot in command time in preceding 6 months , 25 hours of Instrument time out of which not less than 5 hours IR time in preceding 6 months .
