Yes, if you belong to the sky, the sky has just got wider with the opening of national and international sky routes. The demand for the pilot license holders is growing stronger day to day and aspiring pilots can see their dreams flying into reality. The eligibility to do Pilot training in India is 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics. Also the minimum age to obtain a commercial pilot license is 18 years. To become a pilot, you can directly take admission in top pilot institutions both in India and abroad and also one should be physically and mentally fit as per as the standards of Indian aviation industry to join this course. According to the sources there are almost 29 institutions for pilot training in India and thousands of flying school abroad .The country has now 8000 pilots and its airlines will require additional 17000 pilots in next eight to ten years. So job growths are better in airline sector. From the job line point of view, airline sector is a hot cake in India; airline industry is experiencing its biggest boom. Though the initial fees is little high for pilot training yet getting admission into aircraft institute is a dream because it can be handled by the availability of loans and moreover soaring salaries and travelling to different destinations fascinates every aspiring pilot. There are many nationalise banks who provide education loan for Commercial pilot license training at low rate of interest.

Pilot Training in India

In India pilot training comprises of Ground Training and Flight training. The job of pilot requires knowledge of interpretation of meteorology, air navigation and leading the aircraft under adverse circumstances but according to its air rules. A pilot should be able to lead the flight crew and this only is taught in the ground classes where their theory subjects are Air navigation, Air regulation and Aviation meteorology. The candidate must also complete 200 hours of flight time to obtain his Commercial Pilot License after which he will be able to work as a co-pilot/ junior first officer / trainee first officer in the aircraft. With this training, you can get a job which can prove to be a ladder to land up for your dream job. The training covers all the basic and important concepts which are needed to become a commercial pilot. Pilots in India can work for commercial airlines or the Military Aviation of India. Commercial Aviation includes the passenger airlines, the international air services, cargo planes and air taxi charter operations. Whereas the military aviation includes the Indian Air Force and Aviation arms of the Army and Navy.

It is a well known open secret that pilots get paid very well. Also this is adventurous job where you get paid for travelling different countries. There are various perks and luxuries associated to this profession. But at the same time we should also remember that flight training in India is more expensive than many other countries and one of the main reasons is the taxation on fuel for trainer aircrafts , that is why many Indian students go to countries like USA , New Zealand , Canada , South Africa for their CPL training . The high wages and travelling to different parts of the world fascinates everyone. Since regional airlines are growing faster, so are the job opportunities. We can definitely assume the airline job sector to be at boom for now. India has many airlines now like Indigo, Go air , Spice jet , Vistara , Air Asia India , Air India , Alliance air , Air India Express , Trujet etc .
